About Solomon Adesanya (He/Him):

Solomon Adesanya is a second-generation American who lives in Cobb County and often reflects on his immigrant father’s ideals which were of hope and a belief in the American dream. Solomon is of Nigerian descent. His father Olu Adesanya (1945–2009), came to the United States in 1971 as a student. Solomon’s father completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Illinois, Chicago and his Master’s degree at the University of Illinois, Springfield. His father lived between Lagos and Chicago during the 80s and early 90s. His older brother was born in Chicago, while Solomon and his immediate brother were born in Lagos. Solomon is married to Ashleigh Adesanya. Together, they are raising their daughters Grace and Joi in Marietta – “The Gem City” of Georgia. Solomon attended Georgia State University Masters of Public Policy program where he learned how policy shapes our democracy.

Why We’re Endorsing:

Solomon is an entrepreneur who owns a restaurant in Cobb County and continually seeks ways to improve his community. He has volunteered on several campaigns to ensure an inclusive society for our democracy. He is part of the Cobb County Democratic Committee At-Large Post Seat term 2018, where he votes on the party by-laws. Solomon’s primary legislative focus will be on economic development, quality public education, expansion of Medicaid. He is committed to working tirelessly to provide immediate and long-term solutions to his constituents and every Georgian.
