About Adrienne Simmons (she/her):

For the past 20 years Dr. Adrienne Simmons has served in public education. She has worked diligently as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, literacy coordinator, and statewide administrator. Dr. Simmons knows firsthand many of the challenges students, families, educators, and communities face in trying to ensure all youth meet their full potential. Her track record demonstrates commitment to working alongside diverse stakeholders to leverage student success. Dr. Adrienne Simmons has been married to Jamar Simmons for thirteen years. They moved to Gwinnett County in 2012 to become part of a collective that values diversity, camaraderie, and high-quality education. Dr. Simmons has two children that attend Gwinnett County Public Schools where she just completed her second year serving as a member of the school council.
